Able Channel Wins Emmy® Award for
“Forgetting 9/11: The John Crittenden Story”
October 13, 2025

Honored in New York City for Outstanding Human-Interest Programming
NEW YORK, NY — Able Channel, the Emmy Award-winning health and wellness streaming service, is proud to announce that it has won a New York Emmy® Award for its powerful documentary “Forgetting 9/11: The John Crittenden Story.” The award was presented Saturday night in New York City, recognizing the program’s outstanding achievement in documentary storytelling.
The program recounts the harrowing experience of John Crittenden, a survivor of the September 11th attacks who was inside the South Tower of the World Trade Center, and his 24-year journey living with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Through Crittenden’s deeply personal narrative, “Forgetting 9/11” explores the long-term emotional and psychological toll of one of America’s most defining tragedies — and the ongoing struggle to heal.
“We are honored to receive this Emmy recognition for John’s story,” said Brian McCourt, CEO of Able Channel. “Our mission has always been to tell meaningful stories that inform, inspire, and advance understanding of health and healing. This award is a testament to that mission — and to John’s courage in sharing his truth about PTSD.”
“Forgetting 9/11: The John Crittenden Story” is part of Able Channel’s expanding portfolio of original, health-focused content designed to spark conversation and connection around the human experience. The program premiered on Able Channel earlier this year and has been praised for its authenticity, empathy, and visual storytelling.
This is the second Emmy win for Able and marks another milestone for Able Channel, which continues to set a new standard for purpose-driven programming that blends entertainment with impact.
