May 23, 2025

New York, NY– May 20th, 2025 – Able Channel announced today its program Forgetting 9/11 – The John Crittenden Story has earned Tellys in 4 categories: Advocacy & Causes, Social Issues, Craft Use of Archival Footage and Craft Editing in the record breaking 46th Annual Telly Awards.
“We are humbled to be recognized by the Telly Awards for this great honor. We are even more humbled that John had the courage to tell us his personal historic story so that others can benefit from his experience and have hope when living with PTSD.” said Brian J McCourt the program’s Director & CEO of Able Channel.
John Crittenden was in the south tower of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. In this riveting historic program, John shares a first-person account of his escape from the tower in what was the worst terrorist attack on New York City and American soil. For John and many other survivors, the horror and effects of 9/11 never leaves. For the past 24 years, he has lived with the lasting effects of PTSD. He now shares how his experience impacted his relationships and his life. Through therapy, John is no longer alone in his journey. He is now using his own self-awareness to help other survivors & victims to seek help and grow from trauma they have been trying to forget.
