New York, NY – August 26, 2025 – The Able Channel announced that “Forgetting 9/11” has been named an Official Selection at the 3rd Annual Health & Wellness Film Festival, presented by Cine-Health.

“The story is a first person account of John Crittenden, a 9/11 survivor who shares his personal story of survival and the ensuing 24 years of PTSD that followed. The program is also up for an Emmy Award in October. “This recognition is more than an honor — it’s a reflection of our mission. At The Able Channel, we believe that stories have the power to heal, to educate, and to inspire. Our goal has always been to connect people with trusted health and wellness programming that can spark conversation, build awareness, and create positive change in people’s lives.” Said Brian McCourt CEO of Able.

The Health & Wellness Film Festival is an international gathering of filmmakers, storytellers, and changemakers who are passionate about advancing health through the arts. Each year, the festival shines a light on projects that embrace the importance of wellness — physical, mental, and emotional — and celebrates those who bring these essential stories to audiences worldwide.

“We are deeply honored to be selected by the Health & Wellness Film Festival,” said Paul Goggin, COO of The Able Channel. “This acknowledgment reinforces our belief that powerful storytelling can be a force for good, helping people find connection, and even hope in their own health journeys.”

The 3rd Annual Health & Wellness Film Festival will feature a diverse lineup of films, documentaries, and media projects from across the globe, with a focus on storytelling that uplifts and educates. To be included among this group of visionaries is a milestone moment for The Able Channel as we continue to expand our reach and bring important health conversations to the forefront.
